Every once in a while, it’s nice to step outside of the wedding world and just create with people. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love photographing weddings. It’s my bread and butter. I love love, and everything about a wedding.
But portrait sessions like this remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. They’re creative, relaxed, and honestly just a lot of fun. It’s such a fun outlet for both myself and the people involved.
This portrait session took place in Pontiac, Michigan, and the goal was simple: she just wanted new photos of herself looking hot af. Mission freakin’ accomplished.

One of the things I enjoy most about creative portrait photography is that every shoot feels different. There’s room to experiment, play with style, try different poses, and just see where the moment takes us. Sometimes the vibe is bold and editorial. Sometimes it’s soft and natural. Sometimes it’s a little bit of both.
For this session, the styling was entirely her own. The outfits, the energy, the attitude in front of the camera. My job is simply to guide, create the environment, and capture it in a way that feels authentic to the person in front of me.
